This app allows children to create toys from recycling materials, which they can choose to decorate and create. This is a great opportunity to link virtual and real world play - and can give you lots of ideas for using rubbish around the house for creative activities with children. As with all creative apps there are plenty of language rich opportunities, talking about colours, what junk can be found around the house, the feelings of the materials as children put faces on them. There are also opportunities to help children understand about recycling and the use of different objects, which they can talk about with adults. Children can save pictures of their objects to the camera roll to refer to later.
