This app is loads of fun for the child, promoting the use of imagination and storytelling. It enables children to create their own movies by selecting the characters, background and music. The graphics are great and the choice of characters are fun. If you own other apps by this developer, you might recognise some of the settings and characters. Children then record their voice over the characters and move the characters around to make a scene. They can also add some special effects like activating pre-programmed animations and writing in the scene with their finger, but these options are not immediate to figure out. Adult support might be needed at first to use all the options and reading the information section is recommended. Movie Studio is a fun way to record your child's stories and promote early authoring and video-making skills.
